Poetry – Dance -Slam – three words that form the motif of this performance: a sound poem with car signs. The signs form words, concise words that describe my body. Sometimes the words fall to the ground and my magnetic shoes catch them. I dance with the car signs and shuffle them like poker cards.
THE DANCING LESSON shows four different dance lessons. They demonstrate the use of special dance shoes. These are prepared with different objects in such a way that they produce individual sound structures while dancing. The simultaneous playing of the four different dance sequences results in a visual as well as sonic collage.
Four car tires are firmly attached to my legs and arms. Car tires are associated with movement.
However, my range of motion is limited by the heaviness of the tires. I let them slide, trembling over the floor, and lift them like weights until they fall, squeaking, to the ground.
