WAITING – Scenes from inbetween

2024

Waiting is a basic human experience. In her new piece, Maren Strack shows four different states of waiting. Silent waiting turns into choreographed explosions. Delicate soundscapes meet grinding metallic sharpness. Waiting is annoying, it irritates to the point of anger. The artist creates a choreographed, acoustic-kinetic readymade that dismantles visual habits, literally “decaffeinates” them. Life is waiting, in the best case liberated time.
